Can I enable Battery percentage on my iPod touch 4th generation running iOS 5.1.1 without beig jailbroken?

iBackupBot will not let me save the changes that I make. I have tried a number of times. when I save, the save icon turns into a grey box and doesn't turn back into a floppy disc. I close the window, open it back up to see that the changes were saved and the code that i entered doesn't appear. Does it take some time for the changes to save?

That's a good question. If this process falls under an "unauthorized modification," then the answer is yes. I would call Apple Support, describe the process you wish to attempt, and ask them if it would void your warranty.
