I was hoping it MIGHT be like Neverwinter Nights 2 which didnt support our 7300GT either but it runs fine on my system at full resolution even but nope..
Found this which states the game wont even start with any of the 7300's..

The Radeon 5770 Apple still sells should work fine, its not on either the 'Doesnt work' or the 'Will work but crappy' list so it should be good.
I cant remember what model but you can find some of the 3000 series on eBay flashed for Mac's, and looks like those are supported too. Theyre a bit cheaper then buying the 5770 from Apple but then again its an older card and theyre PC cards flashed for a Mac..
Honestly with our first gen Mac Pro's its probably cheaper to buy a PC graphics card and just Boot Camp it to play.. They wont work under Mac OS but you can stick any PC card in there and boot to Windows and run with it. (Which will probably give you better performance as well)
EDIT: Heres one of the many threads on the Blizzard Diablo forums about the game already too:
The title of this one was simply "Bootcamp Win7>Mac Client!"
"Honestly, this is a huge relief, because at least I'm able to play the game not only with much higher FPS, no stutter, but I can set the graphics almost 3 times as high, with no reduction in fps!
I wanted to thank you Blizz, cause I was incredibly upset and worried that it was actually my 16 month old mac that was somehow deficient and messed up, but it's not, it's just your mac dept's terrible programming skills. Nothing has been improved from the beta problems so far. It's nice to know that the company I've supported for so many years has no moral dilemma charging mac-users full price for a game that the mac client can only play at half fps AT BEST. I suppose this is because, FORTUNATELY, I have the option to play the game on bootcamp using Win7. It's kind of like a slap in the face, I feel like I'm having to cross-dress to gain access to the nightclub, but at least I have the option to enjoy the game how it's meant to be."
Theres a bunch of folks with fairly new iMac's and Macbooks getting like 10fps and not having a fun time with their new game.. Eeek!
