Did you install the Find My iPhone app on the phone? Also, is the phone connected to WiFi?

I believe both are necessary for Find My iPhone to work

Trying switching Apple IDs. I always use the same one & was frustrated to only find one iPad on iCloud. I checked all my settings & happened to notice a different Apple ID at the top of my settings. I remember the Apple Genius telling me (forever ago) that they are unable to merge the two IDs. This second, rarely used, Apple ID did the trick. I found my current phone & my old ones all listed out. Good luck -- hope this helps someone!

Thank you for the advise. Only have one apple ID. The phoneI see on find my iPhone has the exact same settings as the one I can not see. I am thinking my oy option is to back up the phone to the cloud and restore the phone to the factory settings and pull all the data back down off the cloud. Does anyone see a problem with this approach? Any other solutions I can try?

After hours of searching and trying every fix that was suggestted, tI have finally gotten it to work. It required me to do an original restore from Itunes then I restored from the back-up I did. I only did this after I read a post that some people were getting Push Notification meassages when launching certain Apps. I now can see my phone in my devices!! Apple is rotten!! There are clearly enough people having this issue and it should be addressed!!!! The more I use their stuff the less I like..Galaxy here I come when my contract is up!

This is the first time I am going to comment, have a mac book pro, ipad2 and an iphone5. I can't believe this feature isn't fixed yet, just updated my iphone OS and it wasn't remedied ;( Come on guys! the iphone has the best software and hardware but I cant see my iphone on my ipad or mac book! Get it done cupertino, dudes in seoul are hustling, and BB10 looks solid. Missed execution on advertised feature. Frustrating. Fix it ASAP.

I don't blame you for being upset, and ritely so! I have the same issue, icloud wont even ope! Its down AGAIN.

If I didnt PAY for this and that with apple like many of my doubled songs in itunes ( sure i fixed it) and now I did py money for "find my iphone", and when it comes time to depend on it; apple craps out AGAIN.

Maybe it did work for the guys below, and maybe it didn't. But they are oviously not disappointed in apple and their lack of due diligence with their programs.

Apple may make good hardwarer; but their software has something to be desired. Even under warranty with this new iphone .......... they put you through the grinder over the phone to fix it; then they send you to a store with an apt. as if they are entitled or someting, and THEN, they replace it not with a NEW phone, but w a refurb.

I have friends who have macbooks and desk tops that have given them so much grief and agravation too.

One friend has a Nephew in the apple store and after 5 fixes on his mac desktop ( $2300 ) , apple said they wouldnt do anything more for him.

Very sad. They are no different then any big amrican institution where the word of the day is GREED.

I have tried all of this and this irritating software will not find either my ipad 2 or ipod touch 5th gen and they both have icloud enabled, turned on. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling, I tried turning it off then on again. I don't understand how or why it will work for one person and not for the next? I don't want to delete and restore because i am not sure exactly how to restore it.

I only have 1 account with apple and it is the one I had signed up with when I got my ipad, the account shows both my ipad and my ipod touch but it can't locate them ever. I have no idea what an @me account is??? I go to icloud.com and it always says all devices offline but it shows a green dot which means they are online?? I click on one of the devices and it tells me then that it is online but no location is available.

I have just had the same issue with my iPhone 5, which I lost in the last few days.

I could ring it, so I knew it was switched on but it wasn't showing up on Find My iPhone (app or via the net on iCloud). It was a UK ringing so I knew I hadn't left it abroad but that made me suspicious as to why it was showing as offline (given that I knew it would have internet here).

Luckily having retrieved my phone the old fashioned way (someone at BA answered it and said they were handing it in to Lost Property), I switched Find my iPhone off and then on again in Settings-> iCloud. Immediately the "Play Sound" and "Lost Mode" kicked in from when I had first lost it. That is all it took.

There is a certain novelty factor to being able to see where your iPhone is on an internet map when it is in your pocket, but the whole point of Find My iPhone is to be able to find it when you lose it. I'm not impressed. I fear nobody will stumble across this thread until it is too late for them, but I am going to tell my friends with iPhones to check that it is showing up properly so that if they do actually lose their phone they stand a chance of benefiting from the "technology".

I'm sorry i have the same issue and i fixed it by full restore

Ps: this is the only way and i think you rest all setting that's why the issue come up so i think that the best and the only way is to do full restore and i guarantee you that it will work 100%.

I tried it and it fixed it

Thank you and i hope it help you all

Beat regards

Ray ;)
