I'm having the exact same problems. I've tried everything possible:

Deleting email account and reinstalling

Deleting all email accounts and reinstalling

Reset Network Settings

Reset all Settings

Erase all content and settings and set up as a new phone

Erase all content and settings and restore from back up

Turn off Icloud settings and sync on Itunes

Turn on Icould settings and sync OTA

"reboot" by holding down the home button and power button

Gave phone to IT dept and asked that they check the connection to Microsoft Exchange

tried all troubleshooting ideas on internet not listed above that I could understand what they were saying.

Called Apple and had them look into it - (they were stumped btw).

I am getting my yahoo email account just fine, but I'm ready to go to Apple and demand a repair on this phone since no one seems to know why this is happening to some but not others. I have Sprint - don't know if that matters either. Very, very frustrating and time consuming.

Yes. When I try to sync music albums only some tracks are successfully transferred to my ipod. Prior to the 5.1.1 upgrade I had no problems. I've tried restoring to the original settings & checking evrything several times without success. After searching online I have found many other people experiencing similar problems. I'm hoping Apple will come up with a fix!

I am having the same problem with both iPhone and iPad when on wifi at home. Works over 4g. Works at office over wifi. Home ISP is Comcast. Work ISP is Comcast. Only difference is home is residential service, work is business connection. Very frutrating. Have deleted account on my iPad, powered off and added again. It creates the account fine. But it will never connect to server to retrieve mail when using wifi.

I found out what my problem was.

If your ISP is Comcast, read on:

I had similar problems with both my iphone and ipad when using my wifi, but not when using cellular. Turned out to be a Comcast issue with their implementation of DNSSEC validation. You can see my full explanation on my blog at http://blog.trif.com/?p=295. The site is being blocked by Comcast because the Microsoft portal does not meet DNSSEC validation rules. This applies to Comcast DNS Servers 75.75.75.75 and 75.75.75.76.

Hi,

We have in our organisation also big difficulties syncing with out Exchange 2003 envoiroment.

Devices updated to iOS 5.1.1 not working an just gives "Unable to verify account information"

We have some devices running iOS 5.1 perfectly normal.

How can we downgrade our phones to iOS 5.1 so we can get this working.

And no this is not an Exchange issue, but a Apple issue, becouse nothing is changed on the infrastructure, and both OWA,OMA and Android/Windows Phones are syncing perfectly.

Best Regards

Thomas Nissen
