Don't try to sync your contacts using both iCloud and iTunes or you will get duplicates. Choose one and disable the other. See http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4147.

You're welcome. I'm not sure on your mail question. If the incoming mail on your iPhone is being deleted from your iPhone it makes me think that you may either be deleting the messages in Outlook, or you have mail rules set up in Outlook to move messages into folders. Then, when you sync your phone these changes would be reflected on your phone as well. Do you think that might be the case?

No! I receive approximate 50 mails everyday and I delete the unwanted ones from Outlook and also on iPhone so that I have enough space for the future incoming mails. I have more than 3000 mails in my inbox on outlook and probably 300 for the month of may, iPhone shows only 41 and as new mails arrive, old mails get deleted on iPhone. I do not get this, I use to experience the same in my Black Berry and understand that it use to get deleted due to the storage capacity of Black Berry. But iPhone do have more storage capacity though.

Go to Settings, Mail, Show and press the number of messages you want on your phone. There is a 1000 limit but in my experience, you can go a little higher than that.

Note: You apparently have 50 which is probably the default setting. The other messages are there just not shown. If you scroll down in the inbox there is a place you can tap to show more messages if the one you are looking for is hidden.

I got it! thanks. Now my mail settings are as below:

Show - 500 Recent Messages

Preview - 2 Lines

Minimum Font Size - Medoium

Show To/Cc label - ON

Ask Before Deleting - ON

Load Remote Images - ON

Organize By thread - ON

Always Bcc Myself - ON

Increase Quote Level - ON ( What does this feature do )

Please review and advise whether above settings are OK?

So you have chosen 500 recent messages. Earlier ones if not deleted will be hidden but you can get to them in a given moment by scrolling down in the inbox. As to the other settings, this really depends on your particular preferences. For example, the organize by thread which you have checked ON is not appreciated by some people because the mail app will group together all messages with a given subject matter. It might be helpful when all mails in the thread belong to the same subject matter as is the intention but if you get a message with a subject like "Hello" from different senders and unrelated messages, it is hard to find them later when you have forgotten they are grouped. As I said this is really up to what you prefer. I happen to like it.

Increase Quote Level means that when you quote the sender's mail in your reply, the quote will be further indented to make it clear you are quoting the sender rather than the quote being confused with your reply. I have that ON too as I think it makes messages easier to read, but again, this is up to you.

Hope this helps
