Apple TV Remote Broken
Unfortunately, it seems my Apple TV remote (2nd generation) has shuffled off this mortal coil, as it were. After two different brands of batteries (all of them CR2032), the remote remains nonfunctional -- a sorry state of affairs, especially considering my iPhone remote app is no longer synced with the Apple TV. Reading through some of these discussions, I realize I need to purchase another remote, but it seems I need the old one to sync a new one. Since I cannot in any way access my Apple TV (other than turning it on by unplugging/plugging or streaming iTunes content) -- via remote or app -- does this mean my Apple TV is effectively defunct, or at least its best features forever inaccessible?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
