4th gen nano in disk mode says "ok to disconnect" but was never connected in the first place
Ok so to begin with, my purpose is to sync my iPod on my laptop but whenever I plug the cable it would say on my computer screen that the USB device not recognized. I read somewhere that putting it into disk mode is the solution. It worked the first few times. But now when I put it into disk mode it would say "ok to disconnect" when I haven't even had the chance to plug it onto my laptop. So basically its not syncing coz it thinks its still plugged onto the computer when it isn't at all. I've tried resetting again from disk mode but when I turn it back to disk mode while still unplugged it would say the same message.
Now I really just want iTunes to recognize my iPod so I can just reset it to factory settings but I can't even do that since my laptop can't recognize it.
AND for the record.. I know that my laptop isn't the one messed up. I use the same USB port with other devices and they all work. The cable is also functional because it works whenever I use the same cable for the wall-charger. So the only thing to conclude is that it is my iPod that's messed up. AND to further prove that it is the iPod that's screwed... here's a screen shot of when I ran the diagnostic test on iTunes while the iPod is plugged:
Question now is if there's any hope of reviving the ****** thing or should I just buy a new one?
