iTunes song preview time is cutting off.

Why does my iTunes only play 30 seconds of a song preview instead of the full one minute and 30 seconds?

Windows XP

The call I opened is still open in my eyes, they passed me 5 free songs, ... said they would keep the line of communication open. SInce (~ 1 year?) I have heard nothing, not gotten email updates to this thread (until this morning), ... VERY SAD! I have not had the problem since making the DNS change, although I think I recently installed a new version and I am not sure if I checked after that. I will check and chime in again. SAD SAD SAD!!!

Yes, very sad; however, very typical of Apple. (Don't even get me started on iOS7 and all its headaches.) I remember when Apple actually tried, but not anymore. One album I bought a few months ago had noise in the first track. I reported it, was given a credit and told they would look into it. They didn't say which decade that would happen, because the problem is still there.

FLUSH DNS - This won't impact anything, it's resetting part of Windows and takes a second:

The first step to flushing your DNS, is to open your “Windows Command” prompt.

  1. WinXP: Start, Run and then type “cmd” and press Enter.
  2. Vista and Window 7: Click Start and type the word “Command” in the Start search field. ...
  3. In the open prompt, type “ipconfig /flushdns” (without the quotes)
