Dissapearing inbox

We are currently using Exchange 2010 SP1 Active Sync and we use Trillian as a 3rd party to setup the iPhone and iPad. For about 10 days the inboxes will suddenly dissapear and immediately after automatically re-syncs. I first thought it mightr it have been caused by the new 5.1.1 update but have users who haven't update yet. Does anyone have experience this issue?
