I fell onto a concrete lab floor while holding my ipad and the screen shattered. It was in a full leather case which was inside a padded shoulder bag. I am sick of course and now need to have an idea of how much it cost to have it repaired. This school purchased ipad has no apple care coverage.

There are plenty of places around and plenty use cheap parts, But I was lucky I went to one the oldest iPad repair compaines in the uk, as they are just down the road from me, but you can post in if your not local, I can say my iPad is as perfect now with a new genuine screen fitted by http://www.ipadrepairs.co.uk/
My ipad 4 retina fell from my kitchen side and landed face down on my tiled floor, on picking up the unit i discovered that the screen was shattered and the display was not fuctioning properly.
so i came onto the apple formum and someone suggested i use a company called Apple Repair Centre to fix my ipad.
anyway contacted them and was told to place and order online and send my ipad in for repair, which i did.
to my suprise less than 48 hours after i broke my ipad, my fully functioning repaired ipad was delivered to my door.
i just want to take this opertunity to share my opinion and to thank the guys at Apple Repair Centre for getting my ipad repaired and back to me in such a proffessional and timely manner.... thanks guys.
