After the most recent update, I am unable to play Serpentine

There's a game I like to play that is like Boggle. The website is:

http://games.cobradragon.com/

I sign in as usual and go to the game and get this error notice:

User uploaded file

At first I thought the site was down but my husband is able to play on his Windows XP computer. I tried using Safari, Firefox and Chrome and get the same response. This only happened after the latest security update so I'm wondering if there is some setting I need to change. Does anyone have any ideas?

My computer is an iMac OS X 10.6.8

I don't have virus software that would prevent it from running. I'd appreciate it if someone can help me figure out how to fix this problem.

Whew, we might have to start over!???

If all the above fails, then it appears to be time for a relatively painless Archive & Install, which gives you a new/old OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space and no Disk corruption, and is relatively quick & painless...

Just be sure to select Preserve Users & Settings.

Phew. Oh lordy. I will check that out tomorrow when I'm rested. I'm afraid I'd do something spectacularly stupid this late at night. I do have Time Capsule so I guess I could back everything up first.

Do you think that upgrading to Lion would do the same thing because I've been thinking about upgrading from Snow Leopard. it's only $29 or something like that.

I don't care for Lion at all myself, I'd fight tooth & nail to use the oldest OS I could... but then... I want my computer to do what I want it to do, not what Apple wants me to do, 😟😠

Yes wait until your head is clear for sure! 🙂

PS. Mine isn't ever going to be clear... and getting this close || to giving up on Apple,

I think I may just not play that game on my iMac and keep my macbook free from the update. At this point, it just doesn't seem worth fooling with. It's just a boggle game!

I understand your frustration. I have a certain nostalgia for those days when you could go to Radio Shack and spend a few dollars and build your own circuit board and even computers really. I have had in my past, Apple II, Apple IIc, Apple IIe, and even had in my possession at one time, two Apple IIIs which had terrible reputations but were exceedingly fun nonetheless.

But then again I'm also nostalgic for the days when I could open the hood of my giant American car and change the spark plugs without any tools in a matter of minutes...lol. I guess I'm showing my age.

But I confess that I love my iMac and can't imagine using a Windows machine and don't have the time I used to have to do something like tinker with Linux, etc. I have all these old BYTE magazines from the 80s and looking through them illustrates just how much choice we used to have in computers whereas now, we have just 2 and a half (in my admittedly flawed opinion).

After the most recent update, I am unable to play Serpentine
