user reviews not showing up for podcast

I see two reviews, posted a couple of days ago. I'm afraid I don't know anything about how reviews work - it may be that they are monitored, which would delay them a bit, but Apple don't disclose their methods.

Your reviews are only shown based on the country your iTunes Store is set to. So when your store is set to the US, you wont see reviews from other countries. You can see them by going to the bottom of the screen in iTunes and from there you can change your country. If you switch it to UK you should see you sister's review. My sister is in Australia and I had to do that to see her review of my podcast.

Having said all that, I'm wondering how many reviews are sticking. With over 500 downloads per week and asking listeners to leave reviews, we haven't had any since March and I have another friend who has said friends have told him they left reviews but they aren't sticking. My fragile ego needs these reviews! It feels like something is wrong, but maybe it's just that no-one has left any!

Okay, so it's not just me. Have had same issue for last 3 weeks; people have told me they've submitted reviews but podcast still says "be the first to write a review". My podcast and reviewers are all in US. Hmm.

Just make sure that they are writing reviews and not rating. If a podcast has only been rated and not reviewed, the ratings wont show up. Once there's at least one review the ratings should show up.

A small update, I wrote a review for my own podcast. (I didn't pretend it wasn't me, don't worry) and it came up.

Far as I know they're doing both. I just wrote a review for and rated my own podcast a while ago and will see if it shows up.
