Can someone please help me? It's becoming really frustrating.

And it's not a problem from my pc. It's brand new.

Repair your Apple software update.

Go to START > ALL PROGRAMS > Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install

If you don't find ASU, go to Control Panel:

START > CONTROL PANEL > Programs n Features > highlight ASU and click CHANGE then REPAIR

Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.

Basically I copied the iTunes folder from a windows 7 32-bit computer from C:\Program Files and pasted it on mine. When I double click the iTunes.exe, gives me a 1st message

User uploaded file

When I click yes,

User uploaded file

After that iTunes would pop, User uploaded file

Says a required component is missing. Though all my music, apps.. etc are present

I tried reinstalling iTunes after this but still no use.

I haven't connected any of my iDevices.

P.S iTunes is not present in my list of programs in conrol panel but just as the folder in C:\Program Files\

For installation program, you are not supposed to copy files over from another system like that. All installation must go through normal installation files on yor system which will update your system registry. Otherwise, it won't work. Now your system is all messed up.

Guess you have to do Uninstall and Re-install of iTunes from scratch.

Try the following steps:

2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:

it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.

Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:

iTunes

  1. QuickTime
  2. Apple Software Update
  3. Apple Mobile Device Support
  4. Bonjour
  5. Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)

Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components

***follow strictly to article HT1923 to remove all traces of Apple Programs*****

3. Go to this link to download Revo-Uninstaller. Run it to clean up last traces of Apple software on your system and registry.

4. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch

Followed all your instructions thoroughly, still same result

Also the last three software components kept coming back even though I've uninstalled them many times

Understand it's a new PC, have you done all the Windows update including service packs? If not, please complete all the updates.

If you are still getting the same error, try download and save a full itunessetup64.exe file.

Use Winrar to unzip the file into a folder. Then right click the file AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi from that folder to install.

If you don't have winrar, you can go to this link to download a free trial version.
