VoiceOver Kit doesn't install in iPod Shuffle 6th Gen

Greetings!,

I know that this issue has been addressed before, however no proper answer or solution has been given. As you might know already by the title of this thread is precisely that after restoring a iPod Shuffle 6th gen to its factory settings (not the first time) came to the stage of installing the VoiceOver Kit. The problem starts after this part, in which the iTunes says "Downloading VoiceOver Kit" however, no download is shown. After a while it will cease this and do nothing. If the process is repeated, checking the option to enable VoiceOver it will simply do the same as before.

I've just tried this after reinstalling MAC OS X Lion 10.7.4, so it was a fresh iTunes install.

Something more to mention is if iTunes is closed while it is still trying to download VoiceOver, once the app is launched again it will prompt that iTunes library is blocked. Got to say that I already tried deleting the iPodVoiceOver.framework in the LIBRARY. Nothing works until now.

Thank you very much! hope we may find a solution.

Can you download anything else from the iTunes Store or download other iPhone/iPod updates?

Try looking for and removing the VoiceOver kit as shown below.

How to uninstall VoiceOver Kit

For Mac OS X:

  1. Quit iTunes.
  2. In the Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder.
  3. Enter /Library/Application Support/iTunes and click Go.
  4. Drag the "iPodVoiceOver.framework" folder to the Trash.
  5. Open iTunes.
  6. Sync your iPod to iTunes.

After removing it, are you able to get iTunes to download and install VoiceOver on your iPod shuffle?

Hi! thank

Yes! I already tried deleting it and syncing my iPod again. it doesn't work, it tries to download VoiceOver Kit again and fails as I explained before. I tried with another iPod yesterday night, but it happened again so I think it is related with iTunes directly.
