Upgrade To 10.6.9? Lion?

I currently have MAC OS X version 10.6.8 but I would like to get at least 10.7.2 so i can get ibooks author. To get to 10.6.9 and up do i need to purchase the installation disc for OS X lion??

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

There is no 10.6.9. But if you want to install Lion, download it from the Apple Store. There is no installation disc. You can buy a thumb drive to install, but it's only $30 in the App Store.


Be sure your computer meets all qualifications and requirements for Lion.


Also, Lion will not run any PPC applications. Be sure you check all your software.
