I keep having problems in various apps making in-app purchases. Tells me to contact iTunes support which isn't an easy process!

In case this applies, you must have a credit or debit card on file in order to utilize In-App purchases. In-App purchases cannot be made from the balance of a redeemed iTunes gift card.

Thanks for trying but I do have a debit card on file with them. I appreciate your reply though to try to help. I went to express lane support. Hopefully they can fix it!
I've checked a million of these same posts and no one has posted the solution. What is going on here? I specifically bought a gift card to make an in-app purchase and it is not working.
I'm having the exact same issue. Would really like an answer so I can get my kids the apps they need for school.
And it's stupid stuff that it won't let me buy like a national geographic subscription or the purchased versions of some free apps but lets me purchase others just fine.
Let us know what they say please.
