Question about Enrollment program

Well I made an app GeoLocalization based, tested in the simulator now is working...., I know that in order to test the app in an iOS device I have to be enrolled in the Developer program, but I have a question, The test app in the iOS device have to be conected to the xCode all the time? or can I transfer it to the iOS, unplug the device, go out and test in other locations?
