I want Apache to serve directories throughout my site

I run a server that disseminates reports, meeting minutes and user-generated curricular materials. Hence I have many directories full of documents sa well as some with .html files. Under Snow Leopard server I had no problem allowing access -- if there was no index.php or index.html file, Apache presented the directory index for clickable downloading. Since upgrading to Lion, these files are no longer served. I can wirte explicit <Directory > calls in /etc/apache2/sites/000_any_80_.conf.default for any specific directory and display that single directory but I don't know how to allow indexes throughout the site as a default condition. Any help?

Mac OS X (10.7), lion server apache webserver

You just need to find your site's configuration file and edit the default Options for the site to includes the Indexes directive.

For example, you might find:

<Directory "/Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default">

Options All +MultiViews -ExecCGI -Indexes

...

</Directory>

where you just need to change the -Indexes to a +Indexes.

Of course, you understand the implications of doing this, right?
