I deleted the large video file, but the space didn't release. The space is in the 'others' part, so I can't use those space. How to solve this problem?

Did you remember to empty the Trash? Also, try restarting the computer. The space in 'others' wouldn't be taken up by video. The Videos would fall into the category of 'Movies'
@Artemir ... you are giving instructions for a computer. The OP is talking about an iPad.
"Other" includes just about everything that is not media - app data, files, email messages, text messages, Safari history, bookmarks, calendar entries, notes and so on. It should not be larger than around 1GB in size.
If you are showing a large amount of "other", you had a corrupt sync most likely. the recommended fix is to restore from a backup first and if that does not fix it, restore as a new device and then add you content back onto the iPad.
After I delete it from, the space just went to 'others' instead of 'free space'. I restarted the iPad, then the space released to 'free space'.
If each time I delete a video I need to restart it, then it's very unconvinct.
Having exactly the same problem. I added 8 videos to the ipad, then decided to change them for another 8. The new ones didn't add as it said I had run out of space. I had 7GB sitting as "Others". I had to restore the ipad to get the space back. Will try a restart to see if that works - sounds quicker than a a 30 minute restore.
Anybody in apple going to fix this bug?
Having the exact same problem. Note that my videos are not from the iTunes store. When I delete a video from the Videos app, the video gets deleted but the available space does not increase until I reset my device.
