With an exception of two all of my books have disappeared from my ibooks book shelf! I can access my account and see those that I have purchased and would like to know if there an easy way to retrieve them?
MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.4), Also have iPad with iOS 5.1.1
You can redownload books on your iPad, or you can connect your iPad to your computer and resync them via iTunes. On your iPad in iBooks, touch Store, then on the bottom Purchased. You'll see what you've bought and can reinstall from there.
However, it is very tedious and time-consuming to re-download dozens of e-books from the cloud. Also, how can one prevent the books from disappearing from the iPad? Once one has downloaded a book, shouldn't it stay on the iPad?
