How to recover my lost notes

Since 4 days ago, suddenly I've missed almost all my notes, most of them, very important to me, maybe it happened after an Office for Mac actualization, particularly, an Outlook actualization.

I know that it is a common situation, can somebody help me?

Thanks in advance.

Try this: I thought I'd lost my notes, too. I also have an iPad mini, and noticed the notes app icon and clicked on it. What was more obvious on the iPad was that there are different accounts; in other words, it had different sets of notes saved under different email accounts.My missing notes were saved under my icloud account, although I didn't consciously ever put the notes under any separate account. They were visible when I clicked "All Notes," too. It turns out that the phone had a different account set as the default. I changed the default on the iPhone, and there they were. I took screen shots so the notes are saved in my photos, too. This was a lot easier than checking through a lot of backups. I hope that helps. I will post this on a couple of threads I see in Apple communities. I see it's a pretty common problem.

I too went into my email account and checked the Notes folder only to see that what I was looking for was also deleted from this place. But, if like me, you have your account to setup to Archive instead of actually delete, they're still in there. So I went to the Email Search Bar at the top, typed in a word from the Note for which I was looking, hit Search/Enter and there in that list of results I found the missing Note. It took me minute to figure out how to get it back into my Notes folder. The simplicity of it stumped me for a moment;

Open the document, then simply click on the Label tab (has picture of tag on it) at the top, and select the Notes label. The document in question will immediately be moved to your Notes folder on both your computer and your phone.

I hope this was helpful.

Try clicked "All Notes", maybe your missing notes were just saved under other account and you didn't notice that you put the notes under any separate account.

If your notes actually get lost, you can recover lost iPhone notes from backups (iTunes/iCloud). You can follow the official guide for more details:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

If these solution still cannot work out, I think your notes were gone forever.

I had the same problem and have been stumped for months so thank you very much for this answer about recovering lost notes, but I do have an additional question. My lost notes were under my email but as far as any new notes they are not in my email box, they are however on Icloud but I have not changed anything on my phone so I am wondering why any new notes that I make are not under my email as being backed up there??? Thank You
