Must be me, lack of O2, just back from a most enjoyale bike ride 😁
Envy! Been sitting at a desk all day 😟
db,
It handles them (and much larger from the D800) but such things as stamping adjustments seems sluggish, and Inactive memory can build and build unitl Aperture is unusable.
The RAWs from the D800 are actually in the range of 44 to 50 MB.

One way around this change:
keep around an image with the old Highlights & Shadows adjustment (ie. don't press the upgrade button).
You can lift this adjustment off of this image and stamp it on to any new images you want. You'll get the old H&S in the new image. It's a bit kludgey but it does work.

I believe Aperture supports importing video from DSLR devices.
GoPro or Contour on your helmet (hope you wear a helmet), record, import, export and share.

And so we bring you another in my series ToT: Totally off-Topic.
Never get on a bike without health insurance and an expensive, well-fitted helmet. I have broken each collarbone, a few ribs, suffered "de-gloving" (no need to look that one up -- exactly descriptive, from hip to knee), and have the (perhaps unique) distinction of having been life-flighted (helicopter ambulance) _twice_ for head injuries from bicycle crashes. Each time I shattered my helmet: they would have sent a truck, not a helicopter, had I not been properly protecting my head. In the last accident I suffered a brain-stem bleed and reversible brain damage. Not recommended. But I am here to tell you that medical science is wondrous, health insurance worthwhile, and wearing a helmet while biking vital. Literally.
This has been another in my series, ToT. We now return you to the vertiginous but wound-free world of Aperture 3.3.

, and wearing a helmet while biking vital. Literally.
In especially when riding a bike in the city or on steep hills (Kirby, do you remember the Waseberg in Hamburg-Blankenese? a slope of 16%; and there the brake cables on both my brakes broke - without a helmet I never would have had a chance to start posting in the ASC).

😀
Still ToT:
I will have to return to refresh my memory 🙂 . In Pittsburgh, if it's not steep enough to have steps in place of a sidewalk, it's considered flat:

(No one in their right mind would have put a city here.)
Snapping a brake cable on a steep hill -- or, heaven forfend, two at once -- is pretty much the least fun you can have on a bike without involving a motor vehicle. Glad you made it to ASC, though! ( 😁 )
I have long wondered about the Aperture-biking connection. I used to get in about 5,000/yr. I know Frank rides a lot (but, ahem, his miles are shorter than mine!). Even Jonathon kept his bike wheels hot. And now you bomb down the steeps of Hamburg with no brakes (and in Hamburg, where as all Americans know the miles are only about half as long). Several other top posters are avid riders as well. This defies coincidence.
