I thought that it should be released tomorrow since it's available today online, but I was mistaken. You think Apple would have their stock built up in stores for release the next day. Does anyone know when it will be available? The store rep. near me said 2-3 weeks and I don't want to believe it could be that long. Any thoughts?

I have an Air 13", and a 17" MBP. this runs cooler, faster, screen is lovely... I transfered data from my Mac Air using migration utility. 230Gig and took 1 hour with thunderbolt! Liking it a lot. I play Second Life and the graphics are much faster than my 17" MBP which is only 1 1/2 years old
I ordered online today with a 3 week shipping date. However, I picked up my daughter's AIR today at the Apple Store. They had ONE MBP Retina on display and told me it would be a few weeks before the store had any to sell.
I'll keep checking and buy at the store and cancel my online order if I have to !
I ordered a Retina with 16GB memory. The local store had ONE on display and said they would not have any to sell for a few weeks.
I finally decided to order online. The thing about picking up in the store is that you are at the mercy of the stock. For instance, only the high end model has the 16gb of ram. You need to customize online if you want it any other way.
picked up my retina macbook pro @ my local best buy last friday. Best Buy is selling them online now and you can check availability. I was able to get 200$ student discount but not the extra gift card.
they dont give the cards, but they do price match the discount.
When will the new Retina Macbook Pro be available in stores?
