Q: Error: 4hdd/11/40000000 SATA (0.0)

Hello I put the disk diagnostic error and is accusing the Hard Drive: 4HDD/11/4000000: SATA (0,0) has a solution for this?

 

some say to change the Hard Drive, others say to use a disk warrior over what would that be?

 

because when I try to install mac os X that came with the macbook pro 13 "(2010), freezes and crashes!

    The drive has failed and needs to be replaced. It's a hardware failure; software can't fix it.

    Is there any place that has the error codes, which would be the information that he is testing to see if the HDD or Flat Cable?

     

    Well I tested the HD on linux formatted NTFS I put scandisck all tested with the test program of ubuntu, and all right! I put the macbook keeps giving the error!

     

    can it be the Flat Cable?

    It could be the cable or the drive.  There's no public documentation of that particular AHT error that I can find.  All the obvious stuff, i.e., 4HDD and SATA indicate it's drive related.  The other info, 11/4000000, probably more localizes the error but that's the info that can't be found.

     

    Generally these kind of AHT errors indicate you need to take it to apple for diagnosis and repair.

     

    If you are not going to take this to apple and intend to diagnose this yourself then I would think you should get a replacement drive and see what happens.  If it's the same problem then it is probably the cable.   You would think the odds are higher that the drive is the problem since it has the moving parts that could fail more than a static cable.

    Take it to the Apple Store.

    well I tested it with another Hard Drive I have another notebook, gave the same error!

     

    good cable flat cable is new!

     

    I used to format the hard drive the program MacDrive ...I put HFS + Extended, this can lead to disk error?

    Sorry, but your English is too garbled for me to understand what you're asking. I know you aren't kidding, and neither am I. Let someone who knows what he's doing and can interpret the AHT error message test your machine and determine what's wrong.

    No.  So if you did indeed replace the cable then now it is suspect or maybe it's connections.  And why aren't you using Disk Utulity (that's a retorical question, I don't really need an answer)?

     

    You may end up digging a hole for yourself with this that ends up costing more than $200 (the price you said) for repairs.

    I'll explain what happened from the beginning des, The MacBookPro 13 "(2010) I'm testing for a client of mine! I am a Windows PC technician, I am wanting to expand my knowledge in computer repair, so I accepted the challenge!

     

     

    As soon as it came MBP13 I tried calling and would not turn, it was lack of power in the battery charging so I waited and then I called and took too long to turn on the screen was white exchanging a bell, but was not beep, bell several times, nothing good left of the stopped and everything was white, hung up and called again, took much longer attached logged in once, i went to remove the HDD Flat Cable broke, I bought another and put in place, plus there was already backed up hard Drive with Drive a Mac program that reads the Apple hard Drive in Windows XP, which was used to format the hard Drive, i got the Original DVDs with a DVD system with another test, when I was testing to see if the machine is in order, the first time execultei the test did not show any problems now give up mentioning the problem!

     

     

    Well that's the story, I'm willing to learn, because I want to get fix Apple products in my city because in my city does not have an Apple assistance!

    You can buy any brand sata hdd.
