Error: 4hdd/11/40000000 SATA (0.0)

Hello I put the disk diagnostic error and is accusing the Hard Drive: 4HDD/11/4000000: SATA (0,0) has a solution for this?

some say to change the Hard Drive, others say to use a disk warrior over what would that be?

Lord Fox, I have the same problem.

1. My 2 year old MBP starting panic-ing two weeks ago.

2. I took MBP to Apple store. Diagnostic test said bad drive.

3. I migrated and replaced with new drive.

4. Still got panic; opened case.

5. New drive passed disk utility verify test.

6. Booted from App DVD; ran diagnostic; received the exact same error code as you.

Thus it is not the HDD, even though the error reads SATA.

I suspect something in the bus is affecting the pathing to disk.

I'm taking it to Genius Bar tomorrow.

I'm sharing this because your concerns are valid and I you didn't deserve the rude and unhelpful treatment you received from this community. There are some perfect jerks in this thread.

My Late 2012 iMac has the same error code, but I don't seem to have any problems with the unit booting up or anything that would suggest that the hard drive is bad.

Strange.

Update, I ran the Apple hardware test, but this time I only ran the basic test, not the extended and it came up fine. I did unplug everything connected to it (external hard drives, USB mouse charging unit, USB cable running to my DAC, external CD/DVD burner, etc.)
