iTunes won't play the entire songs.

I have music bought from itunes store since years ago and they all stop when there's about a minute left of the song. Even when i make a cd. I've searched the net for hours but no solution seems to be found.

An album I bought the other day, Bon Iver, seems to be fine though, but I haven't investigated that one thoroughly.. Help, please?

So, I'm beginning to be really ****** on this. And do I really have to pay Apple to get in touch with someone knowledgeable about this?? This is just pathetic! Makes you wonder why the **** you're paying for music after all!

I've bought lots and lots of music via iTunes and all of a sudden it won't play the music to the end and there's really nothing I can do or anywhere I can turn to sort it out? Just pathetic, down right stupid! Fukitol!

Many of us aren't answering because we, too, are experiencing various problems with iTunes/iTunes Store since May 25 (for me) If you search the threads, you'll find various discussions... Apple isn't any help with this as free support ... don't know if paying will make a difference. Apple had recommended uninstalling and then reinstalling ... for a few it worked for others it doesn't...

Thank you for your answer, Jackie!

I've searched the threads and googled but didn't find much about this problem. Those that were about similar troubles were left unanswered or had the usual "download the latest version" and "clean cache" and so forth.

I still think it's pathetic that apple can not be clear with these things because I can't sit here and read every thread from people having problem with this and that and understand that it all has something in common with my problem. When searching for i.e. "iTunes will not play the entire song", as I've done several times, there should be a little something alerting me that it is a problem known to them and that it's under investigation.

It's not the first time I've had problems with itunes and every time it's the same; you have to go completely mad to recieve information and/or help.

"Apple had recommended uninstalling and then reinstalling" -When and where? I haven't seen that information anywhere.

Thank you, Amazon Jackie!

Agreed ... This site is hard to search ... I really can't direct you to the uninstall/reinstall, because I can't find it at the moment. Trust me, though - there are people having the same issues as you. Have you tried writing customer service? Seems to me you should be able to get an answer about this issue or redownload the songs again. They may also tell you to make sure your Windows update are up-to-date as well as your drivers.

If you're running Windows 7 64 bit - I understand that there is an iTunes download specifically for 64 bit, which helped a couple of people.

A couple of years ago I had videos that refused to work more than 10 seconds - even with iTunes upgrades. Then all of a sudden they started to work again a couple of iTunes updates later. Go figure.

Good luck to you... If I find anything, I will repost to this thread.

Reinstalling iTunes is unlikely to have any impact on this problem...

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the current copies from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.

If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.
