iTunes won't play the entire songs.

I have music bought from itunes store since years ago and they all stop when there's about a minute left of the song. Even when i make a cd. I've searched the net for hours but no solution seems to be found.

An album I bought the other day, Bon Iver, seems to be fine though, but I haven't investigated that one thoroughly.. Help, please?

If these are purchased tracks, and assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.

If you don't see them straight away it may help to close and restart iTunes.

While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.

If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

If your music is saved on iCloud, then go ahead and delete the song that doesn't play all the way through. Select move to trash and then once its deleted a cloud sign should appear next to the song which will allow you to bring the song back down fron iCloud. If you click this cloud, the song will re-downlaod and should play all the way through. worked for me twice 🙂 hope this helps!

Do NOT select "also delete this item for iCloud."

I just solved this issue for me. I believe it is a permissions issue with the tracks. Also if anyone is having the issue with non-itunes store tracks you may notice upon starting up itunes, the program goes through something called "determining gapless playback" for a bunch of tracks in the control window and for me these are always the problem tracks.

I believe I just solved the issue by control clicking the track in itunes/show in finder/command i the track (or get info)/unlock the track and change all the permissions to read/write and delete any users that aren't you or your computer.

Oh and you then have to delete the tracks from iTunes and reimport them one by one, individually.

So, delete tracks from iTunes, change permissions on the actual files to read/write, reimport into iTunes. Hope it works for you. Worked for me finally. Good luck.

Right, I have this same problem.

Many of the songs that I have purchased from the iTunes Store will not play all the way through on my iPod or iPhone. I have even had Apple on the phone, who told me to delete the purchased songs from my iTunes Library and then re-download from the Purchased Music section in the iTunes Store.

We are talking hundreds, perhaps a thousand songs. I have spent hours on this problem and IT KEEPS HAPPENING.

I am a poster child for being a faithful, unwavering Apple customer, but I have to say this really gets me mad.

Sorry, but this helped nothing. I have deleted the files as said here, but when I go back to buy the music, no choice to either download nor purchase. Itjust says "Purchased", and leaves it at that. Playing the songs there, same crap happens, less than 2 mins is played of a 6 min song, or whichever length.

Any suggestions?

This, together with many warnings ill conceived whenever I choose to be offline, renders iTunes far removed from the stable well-working product it's been for years.
