Canopus ADVC110

Hi,

I have iMovie 6.0.4,iMovie 09 and Final cut Pro 5 and will very soon be upgrading to FCP 6.

I am using a ADVC110 and wanted to know which of these program's i should use to capture my old VHS footage in as much lossless quality as possible.

I've only just found out after reading on here that that iMovie '09 misses out lines of video after several hours of capturing! so i want to re-capture using best method possible.

Thanks for any advice given

So... a month later and I'm still trying to summarize. The current iMovie would not be good enough to get the full video capture. FCE has some issues as well. But the full Final Cut Pro and the ADV300 is the best way to get the old VHS movies from tapes into the Mac with the least loss and best quality? It sounds like using the ADVC110 and FCE is not a good option. And I'm guessing most of us probably won't have access to iMovoe 6. And the iMovie '11 - that won't cut it for import?

Seems there should be a simpler way to import VHS onto a Mac...

BTW - this was to the general forum, not just to Bengt...
