iPhone 4S: Can't sync photo albums since latest update

I have never had any issues syncing my photo albums to my iPhone from iTunes until the latest iTunes update.

As soon as the iTunes update (10.6.3) was completed, I plugged in my iPhone (5.1.1) and got an error 1140 message (I tried several times, including after restarting my computer, with the same message appearing every time). I later realized that in the "photos" tab in iTunes, "all photos and albums..." was checked (prior to the update, I had selected several albums as I do not have enough space on my phone for all of my pictures).

However, I cannot select the "selected albums, events, and faces..." as it is greyed out.

Any thoughts?

OK, I spoke to soon. Maybe I have more problems then everyone else. I realize now that even though it syncs and everything appeared to be OK about 20% of my photos randomly will not transfer. I have tried over and over and even tried sync'ing by specific album, but whichever way I do it the same random photos do not sync. For example I have an album with 84 photos, but only 36 sync'd. There is no particular pattern I can find as to why some photos are snyc'ing and others are just missing. When it sync's it says the number of photos it is sync'ing from the main library, but when I check on my phone it's short about 1000 photos. There are a random number missing from most of my albums.

Anyway I gave up with this iPhoto update. I reloaded my old library and the last version of iPhoto from Time Machine and everything immediately sync'd perfectly. No errors, and no photos missing.

It didn't seem the update was a big deal anyway. I rather have my photos on my phone; that's the whole point of buying all Apple isn't it; so all your stuff is easily sync'd across all devices?

Good luck everyone. I hope I'm the only one with these additional problems.

I too have done my first iPhone 4 sync after updated to the new operating system and latest version of iTunes. At first, I had about 5 photos randomly sync from a couple of albums, but not all of them. Now, none of the photos are syncing at all. Unlike some people, I had nothing greyed out in iTunes, so I could choose to sync either my entire photo library or certain albums. The problem is that neither worked. My photos portion of my phone now only contains only Camera Roll pics (photos I have taken with the phone), but no pics that I have always been able to sync from albums on my computer.

When I am in iTunes and go to the "photos" tab, I can see the albums I have selected to sync, and it says how many pics are in each album (which is correct based on my photo collection in my computer). So iTunes is clearly recognizing the number of photos that are in each album I want to sync to my phone, and when I do a sync, it tells me that it's importing photos to my phone for quite a long time. Then, no photos end up in my phone. Very frustrating! And for someone like me who isn't very tech-capable, I have no idea what to do?????
