Why does my Cime Capsule keeps spooling every 2-3 mins?

Every 2-3 mins my time capsule spools up, I know this because I can audibly hear it. This even occurs when I eject the time capsule drive from all computors on my network and turn time machine OFF completely. Now I have gone into the logs and found that the spooling sound directly corresponds with the following message:

Jun 13 23:04:58Severity:5AFP login OK from momoneymoproblems@10.0.1.17.
Jun 13 23:04:58Severity:5AFP session from momneymoproblems@10.0.1.17 closing.

This repeats over and over every 2-3 mins:

It is also killing the hard disk. They can only stand a certain amount of this.

Reset to factory.. ie unplug the TC.. press and hold in the reset button and power on.. keep holding in the button until the led flashes rapidly.. (do not over press the reset.. if you do not have 3 arms which is the min required get someone to power it off at the wall for you.. and power on again).

If the disk still carries on.. flash firmware back to 7.5.2 which will fix it.

If you are on SL still as per your stated equipment there is no advantage to 7.6 firmware whatsoever other than fouling up AFP which it does really well.

Are there any other secrets I should now about the Time Capsule?

Mate.. do you really want to know.. !!

Keep it cool.. very very cool. Go to lengths to keep it cooler than it is now.

Once out of warranty.. or apple care.. remove the rubber mat.. and stick the TC on feet.. only like 1/4" (6mm) will stop the heat buildup underneath. Turning on the fan permanently is too noisy if you sleep with it.

But at some point you will need to replace the internal power supply.

Therein is my speciality.

That is wireless.

Set the TC with fixed wireless..

Steps.

1. Change the wireless name for 2.4ghz and separate name for 5ghz.. short, no spaces, pure alphanumeric.

2. Set the wireless to a/n - b/g ( this is useless but the only setting that apple allows except auto or turn off N).

3. Lock the wireless channel, for 2.4ghz which is the most important, choose one of the three non-overlapping 1, 6, 11 Try each in turn.

4. Set security to WPA2 Personal with passkey of same rules as 1. but 8-12 characters non-dictionary.
