In the new iOS 6, the Ipod Touch will contain Siri and Siri Dictation?

WEll guess what they did make better

they made siri availible for ipod 5th generation

but i don't have the money for a new one i wish

my ipod 4g is in good shape i shouldn't have to buy

another one when they can send an up grade and put

it on here

MY ipod 4g came with facetime and all those features you stated i have them all

it didn't come with icloud until ios 5

Siri is not available on a 4th generation iPod Touch because a 4th gen does not have the requisite computational and audio processing power to run Siri in a fashion that will give the end user an enjoyable experience. What this means is that the end user would experience slow response times, connection errors, and other problems that would be unacceptable. Consequently, users would be placing more calls to Apple Support. The increase in call volumes would cause support costs to increase, and the fact that Siri was not meeting customer expectations would have a negative impact on customer satisfaction. Speaking as a former Microsoft Product Support Professional for Windows 3.x through Windows 2000 Server, Apple's decision not to include Siri for the iPhone 4 and 4th gen Touch iOS 6 update makes perfect sense.

The bottom line is, if Apple had included Siri and the other 'enhancements" that the 5th gen, iPhone 4S, and the new iPad get with the iOS 6 upgrade, instead of whining about Siri not being included you would be whining about how 'laggy' it was how much memory it uses, and it didn't understand what you were saying, and it gives you wrong answers.

What really makes me laugh is Y'All are crying about what you didn't get in a FREE update.

I have four things to say to you:

1) Crying and complaining is all you've done this entire time.

2) Apple is a money-grubbing corporation just like Microsoft and screws up just as much; Don't hate and cover it with a bad argument.

3) Spelling, grammar and correct punctuation are important if you want people to take you seriously, because you look like a troll right now.

5) I wouldn't let you go "re writing" (actually spelled as one word, you should write that down) my Internet Explorer if you can't be trusted to use the correct "know" and not its homophone "no".

Don't let yourself sound like a bad case of Troll-itis, I can't take you seriously.

Overall, I like the update for my iPod 4th Generation. I'll be upgrading to a 5 soon because I have a feeling as soon as I have my iPod restored it'll be lag-o-rama on any 3D games I install.

guys all of you who are complaning stop. Think like this. You buy a car with a 160ram engine. Next year a car with a 200ram comes out. do you expect them to give you a free update. when you bought the ipod they told you what it came with, so dont go crying because a new cooler one came out and you dont have the features.

There is a reason apple didnt want that. I have played around with the ipod touch 4th generation on a basic restore of ios 6.1 and it was really slow and choppy as is. Siri is a item that requires an Apple A5(Cortex Arm9)(Cortex Arm8 is not supported)chip and the ipod touch 4th generation has an Apple A4 Processor. The processor is 2 generations back from supporting siri and would lag. I have done something like this on an ipod touch. I jailbroke my 2nd generation to enable wallpaper and the results were not what i expected. The whole thing was slow and lowered batterylife. I imagine if siri was enabled your results would not be what you want.

Tehe iPod Touch 4g can't support siri at all. It's not the software.It is the hardware. ipod 4g is just to slow and weak to support it. The only iDevices that support siri are iPhone 4S, 5, ipod 5g, and new ipads.

I'm not sure why others don't have it??
