Hey I am using iPod Touch 4g and i have updated my iPod with IOS 5.1.1..... I have singned iMessage with my Apple ID and Password but I am not able to send any Message via Email ID or SMS/MMS.....
Can you plzzzz help me out with this problem

First go to Settings and sign up for iMessage with your Apple ID. Then go to the iMessage app and start a conversation with an email or phone number that already HAS iMESSAGE! You will know because after you type it in, go to the little bubble text area right next to the send button and type something in. If the person's email or phone number isnt blue, that means it should be read and that they dont have iMessage. If it IS blue, however, once you have typed something in, the send button should become active and you can press it.
If I want to send message on number who has whatsup in there cell than how should I send it
With the Apple Messages app you can only message another users you have an iOS 5 device. There are general texting apps like Text+ that should work.

A family member is using iPod touch 4g and it will not verify her (working) email. iMessage goes to verify with the loading symbol then takes you back to the previous screen. What needs to be done?

I'm experiencing the same issue with iPod 4g iOS 6.1.3.
After verifying the email address is goes back to the apple ID sign-on screen (a fustrating loop) and does not activate the iMessage.

I Am now experiencing this issue with my iPod Touch 4g running iOS 6.1.6 and its not only doing that with iMessage its doing it to FaceTime as well.
