He wants something that will charge the battery while outside the laptop, unless he doesn't know that an external battery charger is different from an AC adapter. I sent him an example of one. Here's another: http://www.amazon.com/External-Battery-Charger-MacBook-Laptop/dp/B0019LQRB0

He can find the one that works properly for his battery.

Argh! Let's fight!

Last time, the OP's Mac does not have a removeable battery, you are so far away from reality it is painful.

Research before you post!

really? just because apple says it, doesn't make it so. i'd say it's pretty easy to remove it, seeing as I've removed plenty, and so have they: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/macbook-pro-unibody-faq/macboo k-pro-13-15-17-mid-2009-how-to-replace-battery.html

Now, finding an external charger for that battery probably will be a problem. Perhaps one for that model doesn't exist. I'm sure, however, that he wouldn't need to come to a forum to ask if Apple sells AC adapters.

Csound1, greetings: Are there guidelines to be found some place or do you have any hints to keep in mind when creating these links. I simply do not know when to delete the 'http://' (unless it's duplicated) and my links too often lead to never-never land, or where ever. The prospect of acquiring a reputation for incompetence does not really bother me, but I just would like the reason to be something other than this.

Any assistance will be most appreciated (not an overstatement).

Ciao.

The person is looking for an external battery for their macbook to extend battery life when you cannot be near an outlet. Apple refuses to make one for anything larger than an iPad and in fact won't even let other companies supply the cord necessary to connect to a macbook. The best one is the HyperJuice battery. Unfortunately, you'll either have to modify the adapter yourself or pay a fee for Hyper to do it for you-- if you want it to work with your MacBook. A procedure not supported by Apple. Do not care.
