How do I get a replacement install disc for my MacBook Pro?

My MacBook Pro was stolen last year and recently recovered by the police. I was overjoyed until I found that the theif installed windows 7 onto to my computer. I know I need to reformat my hardrive but I no longer have the system intalll disc that came with my computer. Can I just buy a OS X disc from apple or do I need to get a specific disc MacBook disc for everything to work properly?

You can call Apple and they will send you duplicate install disks. Have the serial number of the MBP handy as well as a credit card. There is a fee.

Ciao.

Hey there Oglethorpe! So, do I recall the store mentioning that one can burn their own install discs like when new? Or was that at staples, when i almost got an emergency dell to get to email I was expecting before I drove to Apple Store?

It would be most handy to have one handy...

But wait- that is what time capsule is for, right? IT puts EVERYTHING back? ( I bought yesterday, but will not be free to set it up until tonight)
