battery "not charging", help!

Hi. I have a similar problem. I purchased a new battery for my black macbook and it charged fine. I left for a couple of months, leaving the computer plugged in, and when I got back, it shows that the battery is not charging.

Hi adamincalgary. how long should step 10 take? i've tried it multiple times, but still not turning orange.

Only a few seconds, when it first turns on, make sure the battery is out. it's completely off, and then turn it on, it should turn orange right away then green.
