how to get the schools name off the log in screen

if you can use the macbook, here's what you do, go to system preferences, then click on user and group.


once there, click on the plus sign and add your own user name.


make your user name as default.


restart your macbook then login to your user name. go back to system preferences, then click on user and groups, now highlight the school's user name then click on the - sign to delete it.

So you can get into it? The issue here is, even if you can remove the school's name from the login screen, my guess is there are other settings or data that the school put on there that you want removed. The best thing to do is completely wipe all their data off of their so you can officially start using it as your own. Without the install disks, the only other way that I know of is to issue a remote wipe from Find my Mac in iCloud.
