My iPhone 4s won't restore and is stuck in recovery mode

Hello everyone in the apple community

I recently purchased an iPhone 4s and I set it up via iCloud and it worked later when I arrived home after going with my dad for a party my iPhone would not start it was in recovery mode so I tried putting it in iTunes and starting restoring it then after it was 75% done it rebooted and iTunes says "the iPhone 'iPhone' could not be restored an unknown error occurred (1) so I tried again but still no luck and I also tried putting it in dfu mode but still no luck. I don't think it has been jail broken because I don't know anything about jail breaking .

Could anyone please help me?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1

That's interesting..! because my battery was only lasting a tiny (few hours) amount of time.

Perhaps i will get a new battery and see if that helps....but thinkin of that...if it's plugged into a usb and the computer, should it affect the battery?

im in recovery mode and my coming up with an occured error of 4013? and its not letting me restart my phone at all

I have the same issue but it is saying unknown error code -18, no info anywhere on that code.

For a long time iTunes would not even see it. worked once in about 20 tries.
