How can I access a bundled application then burn it to a blank CD/DVD

I have iDVD 7.0.4 as an installed application on my iMac and it recently became corrupted - i.e. there was no sound from it, including the video. Luckily I'd backed everything up the previous day and it worked, so I did an erase & copy back to the Mac HD.

Although it seems to be working OK now I'd like to copy the installation then burn it to a CD or DVD, so I've got a 'hard' copy to fall back on. Ive looked at what apps are available on both install disks 1 and 2 but I can't find iDVD (on disk 1 it shows but is grayed out along with iMovie and others). When I try install disk 2 there are lots of packages but I can't see iDVD. Some of them have just letters and numbers but I've no idea what they are.

Can anyone please help me to do this?

Thanks.

Thanks yet again,

Once again my lack of technical knowledge has caused me to do something wrong. I've tried various possibilities, as shown in the shot below, but they all come out as an Update.

From the top downwards I've tried:- Contents of iDVD_704.pkg, iDVD.app, iDVD Getting Started.app but they all appear as the Update. I've also tried the Open URL but Pacifist says it is an unrecognisable file. Can you please tell me where to locate the one I need.

I've tried 7.1.2 and 7.1.1 but both require OSX 10.6.6 and I have 10.5.8 (I'd prefer to stay with 10.5.8 because I use iMovieHD 6.0.4 which might not work with 10.6.6) As an alternative, because I've got it on my Install Disk, but greyed out, is this just because it's already on my system? If I uninstall it first would it then become installable from the disk? What do you think?

I've finally got round to installing Snow Leopard (v10.6.8) upgrade. but I cannot find iDVD anywhere within the optional installs package in my install disk. As you can see from the screen shot, since the upgrade, I can no longer see the iDVD package (obviously it must still be on the disk somewhere). Now as you see from the screen shot below only three other ixxx packages are shown but no iDVD.

Have you any suggestions?

Sorry, I should have explained that I was using the original install disk that came with my iMac 2008 (Leopard 10.5). It WAS there then because I saw it, but it's only after the upgrade to Snow that I can no longer find it on that original iMac install disk. It must still be there somewhere, or does the upgrade to Snow Leopard block the access to it?
