iphoto greyed out when trying to upload photos to Facebook - Help!

Hello. I solved my issue. I grabbed the 51 photos that I wanted to upload to walgreens (which works like shutterfly) and I dragged a copy of those into an empty file on the desktop. Then I could upload from that file. Apparently, now that iphoto has links to directly upload to certain sites, you can no longer browse the iphoto library and choose items to upload directly from there.

You do not go directly into the iPhoto library - you use the media browser - in the lower left hand corner of the upload window under media ==> photos ==> iPhoto

Exporting as you did is another way but is uncessary and involves extra steps

I had this problem too.

What I ended up doing was going into iphoto preferences deleted the facebook account I had. This did end access to the albums that I did have previously but once I did that the facebook option was not greyed out anymore. When I choose the facebook sharing option, I did have to give iphoto my facebook login info but the sharing to facebook from with iphoto works fine now.

I bet the login info for facebook in iphoto got munged. It would be great if iphoto would prompt you to correct your facebook login if it is messed up, like they do for your mail accounts without having to delete your old account.

Thank you!! I was having the same problem and never would have know to do this. It seems like yet another example of something that used to work more simply before I moved to Lion.
