Power Button Stuck on Brand New iMac

I've recently upgraded to a 27" iMac and the power button seems stuck or permanently depressed.

It takes a lot of fiddling around just to power it up. This morning I spent about 15 minutes pressing the button!

I'm avoiding shutting it down, just because Im worried I wont be able to start it again.

Is there a quick fix for unsticking the power button?

I live in the Arctic. Please dont tell me to take it to an Apple Store!

There's a reason why repairs are so expensive. Do you have even the slightest idea of how difficult they are to repair and reassemble??

This would probably sound crazy, but it worked for my iMac. Turning the computer upside down seemed to have unlocked something inside the mechanisme.
