So I put in an order for a retina Macbook Pro on June 17 and as we all know the estimated time to ship is 3-4 weeks right now.
For those of you who also ordered online, have you received yours yet? Curious to see if the estimated time to ship is accurate or if they're just managing expectations.

Possibly also a different keyboard layout or country kit. They probably set up the production runs at the factory to pump out one or two configurations per day and rotate over the course of the week. When you think of all the possible configurations the rMBPs can have this could add a lot of time to the manufacturing cycle.
Mind you having worked in China in the past, sometimes stuff there just happens for no good reason lol
I wonder if it's due to a display issue. Perhaps some of the displays tested positive for the ghost problem. I'm just surmising, of course.
I ordered mine with an edu discount too.
I ordered mine with an education discount as well, and also chose faster shipping, so the only difference between our orders would be the VGA adapter.
I'm wondering if people who ordered either vga adapters or ethernet adapters are getting shipment on their orders.
I ordered base configuration, with ethernet adapter, on June 13, and it arrived July 2.
No I don't think it is. I ordered an MBPr 2.6/16GB on 6/15. It just shipped Thursday but the ethernet adapter came on 6/18 separately.

Just to reitterate, I ordered the 2.7/16/768 options with no adapters on June 11 at around 4:30 pm edt, although I didn't get my confirmation email until about 1am on the 12th.
Hey guys just a question. I also ordered one in 30th June 2.3/16 GB. And I selected 2-3 day shipping. So which career apple uses for 2-3 day shipping. Is it Fed ex or UPS? I see above tracking is UPS. I like to get delivered using Fed ex than UPS as Fed ex is more flexible I can request hold for pick up. Where as UPS is not so flexible. So can you guys tell me which career they uses on 2-3 day shipping.
I'm in Canada and UPS is the delivery method for me. There was no choice when I ordered it....... I don't think there was....anyway it may be deferent in the US.
Ya in US I saw lot of people have got it from FedEx. So can some one confirm this?? (Specially 2-3 day shipping) And thanks iFletcher70
Guess I'll try to call again. It's baffling. I had my confirmation back at 4:38 Eastern on the 11th having called it in several hours earlier.

I ordered Jul 5, got an confirmation email on 2PM EST.
My configuration: 2.6GHz + 16GB + 512GB + No VGA adapter + Ethernet adapter.
I purchased via student discount and bought it applecare as well. Shipment is 2-3 biz days.
Currently, the order status shows delivery date is Aug 1 – Aug 7.
I’m wondering whether there is any possibility that I can get it soon.
The problem is that I’m moving out on Aug 3 🙂 Apple tells that they can update shipping date though.
Mine was shipped sooner than expected, as were others in this thread. Think you can be confident that yours will arrive a bit early but it seems to be quite unpredictable.
