I picked up the Macbook Retina (15-inch: 2.6 GHz Retina display) I am having several issues. The computer has crashed several times, and when I play games (StarCraft2) the computer gets extremely hot, enough to burn me. Is anyone else having these issues?
So I took it in on Saturday, and come to find out my unit is defective and they are going to have to replace it. -_-... have to wait awhile to get it switched out, since there out of stock.

Background: Recording with Logic Pro, using Massive, FM8 and Guitar rig. These are my temps.. 15 minutes after shutting them down. Crazy!
As I've posted elsewhere, mine is two days and has restarted twice. Maybe a fix will come out soon in a software or firmware update.
How will software fix the shortage of cooling, which is explained in your above post? Spin its fan more faster? Possible? Or forcibly clock down the CPU?
I got same overheating issue with my new macpro when i play diablo 3 and starcraft 2..... it's burning hot and the fan runs fast and loudly.. I called technique support but the issue is still here. My solution now is using laptop cooling pad + ice pad when i play those games ;(
