Pebble watch Cookoo watch bluetooth 4 msm alerts?

I'm sure by now everyone has heard of the kickstart company that designed the pebble watch: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/597507018/pebble-e-paper-watch-for-iphone-an d-android

Some of you may have also heard of the Cookoo watch (also a kickstart): http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cuckoo/cookootm-the-watch-for-the-connected- generation

I have questions to whether it is possible to have MSM alerts sent to the devices via bluetooth 4.0? I really like the Cookoo design and philosophy.

@germanwarfare - currently - to my knowledge - there are no public APIs that expose SMS information to an app on the iOS platform. This is a limitation faced by both Pebble and COOKOO and is independent of the Bluetooth interaction.

That having-been said, I encourage all developers to request from Apple the ability to detect whether there is an unread SMS. This would, at a minimum, enable apps to communicate the presence or absence of unread SMSs to the user.
