Transfer pics from a CF card to my macbook.

I want to transfer pics from my CF card to my laptop.

I bought an adapter, put in the CF card and plugged the USB end into my laptop.

NOW what do I do???

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

If you want to transfer the photos from your CF card into iPhoto, open iPhoto.

The card reader and card should show up in the left column.

If everything is working properly, iPhoto should recognize the card in the card reader.

You can also set a preference in iPhoto, Preferences, General to automatically open whenever a camera or device (thumb drive, CF card, SD card) containing photos is attached to the computer.

If you don't have iPhoto, the card reader should show in Finder. You can double-click on the card reader, and then navigate to the folder containing images, and drag the images to the Desktop or another folder.
