Printer Setup Utility crashes when adding Epson C86
But, I wanted to query the ink levels, which has never worked, so I downloaded the epson printer driver, in a file named epson11518.sea, installed it with the archaic quit-all-apps-then-restart installer.
Now, when I try to re-add the printer using the new "EPSON C86 Series" driver option, Printer Setup Utility crashes and the new queue is not added.
The console.log contains a lot of entries like the following, with a variety of printer models appearing where CX4600 and PictureMate do below:
2006-03-16 01:31:55.433 makequeues[345] CFLog (22): Cannot find function pointer EpsonPMPluginFactory for factory 982E5062-4FBB-11D8-958C-0030657E73B0 in CFBundle/CFPlugIn 0x11d1200 </Library/Printers/EPSON/CX4600.plugin> (bundle, not loaded)

Am I missing something, or are the current Epson drivers not compatible with the current MacOS X?
