volume and click wheel all funky on me....

My ipod nano has a problem that when ever i turn it on the click wheel goes crazy and i have to scroll little by little to get where i want or it goes crazy. also my volume that when im listening to a song the volume just fumbles and i have to use the hold button and when i take off the hold button the volume fumbles. i am not accidentaly touching the click wheeel or have a cell phone near it. plz help..
