I called the number you gave, lady was very very nice. She says mine shows revoked, but to call the store I traded it in to confirm when they actually revoke. If it has been 24-48 hours she said to call them back. Excellent people. I too would suggest calling them if you are having trouble!
Thank you bhugya!
Um, I have an ipad on my same account as my iphone, so I went into settings and turned off imessage. that may help too
my lady was much nicer 🙂 and verizon helped me alot... dont know who your carrier is, but you may try calling them
II'm going to try this.
Evening PPl i have just changed from a iphone 4 to an experia z1 running android, i am not receiving texts from my wife (may be a blessing in disguise??) but if she turns off imessage i do get them yet other ppl with out iphones would get texts. I have read various forums and it mentions about un-registering the iphone, will i think i have done that i have deleted on my phone the icloud and it doesnt show as a registered device on my apple profile or find my iphone, yet i still cant receive a text unless its out of imessage.
Any help, not sure if i am missing some part of the unregistering precess
thank you thank you thank you bhugya! very friendly customer service rep, fixed my problem in an instant. I wasn't able to do it online because my phone wasn't showing up under my apple ID.
Its Veryy Easy I try looking for all the signs they Told me
&& nonee of them appear than I
Went to edit my information
& deleted the Number out of the apple account
&& finally my messages started coming in!
i just did this too. the new IOS fried my iphone 4s. switched to Samsung Note 3, which is a great phone BTW. My iphone friends couldn't send me messages, but they could receive my messages. I called 1-800-275-2273 and they fixed the problem instantly, officially divorcing me from my iphone. I'm free
Yes. Calling that number worked for me as well. It was quick and Apple tech promised it would resolve in 24-48 hours. My work phone had been an iPhone and now is an HTC one, so text messages from my boss were basically going to /dev/null :-) ...
I tried the 1-800-275-2273 number and had to keep hitting 0 until I got an actual person, I have been told by Apple that they have taken the steps to fix this for me and it should start working within a couple days
I just called the number as well. I was told that even though they had done everything on their end to unregister my number I would still have to contact everyone I knew with an iphone and have them delete my number and then put it back in their phone! How stupid!
The Support page is broken!
Not by accident. They want you to contact and pay for this service that once was free!!
WHAT support page is broken?
And why are you responding to a 2 year old post?
Wait how are you guys getting ahold of a person so easily over the phone? Every time I try to call the support number, they want to charge me $19+tax before even talking to anyone. I don't want to be a customer just to stop being a customer....shame on you Apple, that's very shady
