SPAM level increased last 2-3 weeks

Last 2-3 week I started getting too many SPAM e-mails which come throw iCloud SPAM filter to my mailbox. It was never happened before, 15-20 SPAM from the same address: noreply@*.notmyselftoday.org

Looks 100% SMAP, and I am curious why iCloud's internal SPAM filter do not recognize and stop it. Sure I keep forwarding it as attachment to spam@me.com, but also keep getting more everyday.

Appreciate any suggestions!

I'm seeing the same thing -- batches of three, coming from the notmyselftoday.org domain.

In the past month, the spam has gotten out of control. Usually 1 - 2 an hour. I have noticed a massive change in the me.com services offered since it went from paid to free. I have been a loyal customer since I got my first iPhone. I would happily continue to pay for the service if it increased in reliability. The constant influx of junk mail has pretty much set me over the edge.

It's not even targeted marketing so it has nothing to do with sites I have visited or made purchases from. I am not interested in meeting other lonely seniors or a russian bride!

Something has happened with Apples filtering system. Clearly it is not working. I also have seen an explosion of spam the last 2-3 weeks, getting much worse the last few days. Why you can't setup iCloud to filter spam before it's pushed to your phone or computer is beyond me, but it's making the system nearly useless.

Apple - any plans to beef up the iCloud email services?

The spammers seem to have figured a way around Apple's spam-blocking system (much of the spam I have been receiving includes a commented-out copy of Apple's own email below the spam, or a bunch of nonsense HTML which is rendered invisible via CSS). Hopefully Apple can react quickly; this is quite annoying.

Note that when Apple *does* block spam in iCloud, it doesn't go into a junk folder — it is just not delivered. Thus they probably are more cautious about what they block.

Yeah exactly as you said. The spam emails are getting around the filter because some of them use Apple's own info. In the subject field, it'll say "Apple Store Online, Call 1800-My-Apple". My spam emails jumped from maybe 1 every 2 weeks to 2 every hour, just in the past couple of days. Really annoying. Hopefully a fix comes soon because I really do like my iCloud account 😟

The past few weeks, I've been getting lots of fake "Notification" and "Support" emails with obviously forged Facebook/Google/Apple/etc. messages that don't match the headers or URL links, sent to my me.com email. Something must be broken with Apple's filters, since the forgery in the mail headers is so obvious. I hate it when my iPad "dings" with one of these before my Mac can junk it.

Are all the iCloud people helping fix the developer site?

I don't think this is an iCloud, Gmail (etc.) or spammer issue, but an iOS issue that predates iOS7. No spam is forwarded from my Gmail account, but all spam from my work Exchange server is. This occurs whether I set the iOS device to download the spam mail box or not. It also occurs on an iPhone and iPads with iOS6 or iOS7 and started for me a couple weeks before the iOS7 release. I suspect Apple changed something in Mail that is incompatible with Exchange servers. In fact, no spam is forwarded to my iOS devices as long as I first check my mail on my computer. The problem has redered Mail on my iOS devices useless as I get >100 spam/day!

Ok it has become very apparent to me Apple is doing little if anything to curb spam. I recieve not only the same spam regularly, but duplicates of 1 - 3 in the same day. I forward them to spam@icloud in the manner as instructed, "foward as an attachment". And I get replies as how serious they are, yet the same e-mails pop up DAY IN AND DAY OUT. All from Oracle Communications Messaging Server, a .mac subscriber. If in fact Apple was serious about it, why do they continue to allow Oracle Communications Messaging Server to be a member? Once again, as it seems to be and has been for some time now, I don't a beleive a word Apple tells me. Certainly enough to cause concern before I open my wallet for any Apple products. Is this really what Apple has evolved into, another corporation like ATT that doesn't really care but tell you they do? I feel all I can do is just give up on Apple completly, spend as little money as possible and show them the same support in return, NONE.

I really don't understand how Apple makes blocking spam in icloud.com so time consuming, while other email services are pretty simpler and faster at that. Why not just having a check option as "spam" and voila! blocked. The way I have to do it now, rules and forwarding mails to apple, is making me thinking of seriously returning to gmail.com.
