HI,
If you cannot remember the answers you gave to the possible security questions you will be better off creating a New Apple ID.

Is it the way apple solve the problem? Disgusting!!.
I think it doesn't solve the problem. I have to lost all my purchased items. Moreover, since it is unauthorized changes by someone, it has potential that somebody can change my password and control my account.
HI,
These boards are only hosted by Apple.
The people who reply to you are just other Users like you.
I know of no Apple App that will help your memory if you can't remember the security questions you were asked or what the answers were.
Your first post in this thread only implies you have accessed the Apple ID page.
The post also says nothing about any purchases at that time or any other actual problems you are having with your Apple ID.
To remind yourself:-
I have the same problem with jwtrain99. Recovery email address is different from my primary email address and I also forget security questions. How should I do?
You have not even said what you have tried.
Apple supply you with a page to change some of your details.
You can change the Security Questions and the Answers.
If this Apple ID you are talking about is linked to various Purchased via the iTunes Store, Game Centre or App store then use this page as a starting point and contact iTunes Support (top link on thr right hand side).
(you are still going to need to prove you are you.)

i had the same problem, but i managed to solve it by calling 1-800-275-2273, they will contact you with an account advisor, he then will proceed to ask your security questions, try solving at least one and he will aid you to reset all the questions and also change your recovery email. It may be a long wait on phone but they should be able to help you.
Hi i have kind of a problem here the thing it's that someone got into my apple I'd and changed the recovery email and I don't know how to change it back to mine can someone help me please
Go to appleid.apple.com, sign in, and choose manage. Once you are logged in, select password and security from the left side of the page. It will prompt you to answer two of your security questions. Once you have validated your account, you will have the option to change your rescue email address, as well as the security questions if you wish.
Help to all,
It's frustrating and you will enter your e-mail and password multiple times but this works to delete your recovery email and make it your primary account ID.
First change your primary to an e-mail account you have access to. I get it that your current one no longer allows access, I had the same issue. So create a new free e-mail account somewhere or use an existing extra you may have. Now make that your primary for starters! Verify it! Then follow the steps previously posted by people.
Go to the appleid.apple.com Main log in. Go to Password & Security Questions.
Delete the email as a recovery e-mail. Now go make it your primary and be done with this mess.
It's perfectly possible to have an invalid rescue email and to forget some of your security questions. You'll only need any of this if you forget your Apple password, so it can be a long period before you realize you have a problem.
If you do forget your password in these circumstances you are in trouble. There's no way to reset the password even if your primary email address is valid. The reset emails only go to the rescue email, or at least that's what's happening for me.
What's more even if you know your password and can log into your account there's no way to sort the mess out that I can see: you can't reset your security questions without access to your rescue account, or change your rescue account without knowing the security questions. The suggestion above from Tfarl13 doesn't work for me. I think the only answer is to call Apple.
In my case I can remember being irritated when I was trying to buy some mapping software in a hurry before a trip and having to fill in security questions and a second email that I didn't understand why Apple needed. I gave a fake one. It turns out that was a big mistake not easily corrected.
I, too, am having this issue...
This worked perfectly for me! Thanks so much!
worked like a charm, thank you very much!
I tried this and it worked! thank you
Hi, I too have the same issue.. I could change my primary mail ID. But I do not have the access for the old mail ID which I used for recovery earlier. Is there any way that can be changed?
Hi,
I went to the Apple ID site and used the Manage account option.
I used the menu to go to the Password and Security item.
I actually had issues with remembering what I had set as my first job in the security question so I actually used the email link (no good for you I know).
The email arrive instantly and took me back to the same page (once I had logged in) but in reset mode.
AS well as changing the Question and Answers to the security questions you can change the Recovery email further down.
