I need to set up Time Capsule without having it act as a router.

Sorry to piggyback onto this, but is it possible just to hook up an ethernet cable into my current (and BETTER) Asus Wireless router and have it work that way? I don't see an option for this in the book. That's what I want to do, unless the Time Capsule can somehow just exist and I can connect to it with our Mac Books wirelessly.

You can bridge the TC and plug it in by ethernet.. that is the best way.. you can use it as a secondary wireless but unless plugged into the main router you will have to backup or use internet unless you use ethernet on the macbook.

Hi there you can select wep encryption it is a hidden open hit the apple key and then click the selection on the encryption drag down button and all the options including wep will be displayed you can then set up as a web network
